Jaws Of Life Pry Out Trapped, Seriously Injured People In Newbury Rollover Crash

All northbound lanes of Route 95 were temporarily closed while two Boston MedFlight helicopters arrived to transport car crash victims with serious injuries, officials say.

Two adults were trapped and seriously injured in the rollover crash that occurred on Route 95 northbound in Newbury, according to a Massachusetts State Police Tweet sent at 6:29 a.m. on Thursday, April 27. 

Jaws of Life were used to remove the trapped people and Boston MedFlight helicopters transported the victims to the hospital. 

The victims' injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening. 

The far left lane on the southbound side was temporarily closed to allow for the removal of the vehicle, but all lanes on both sides were open by 7:50 a.m.

Newbury Fire Department also responded to the scene.
